Literature, cultural & media studies

We live in unprecedented times. We hear endlessly from scientists and political commentators with their predictions of where this is all going, but what of the human impact? How do we process and understand the world around us? What does it mean to hold power to account?

Humanities research not only provides essential checks and balances on rapid global advancement but also helps us to understand and explore what it is to be human, giving us tools and approaches to engage with the principal issues of our time. Through critical analysis of the arts and media, we are able to provide unparalleled insight into the human experience and, with any luck, to improve it. The Literature, Cultural and Media Studies eBook collection brings together cutting-edge research from trusted authors working around the world in all aspects of the arts, culture and media: from medieval literature to the impact of AI, from Shakespearean Theatre to contemporary television, and everything in between.
